Pilates and Core Function
Pilates & Core Function is a training focused on strengthening the core, flexibility of the spine, improving posture, agility, and control during movements, body awareness, and more. This training method is ideal for athletes, injury prevention, and the rehabilitation of sports injuries and spine-related issues.
Pilates & Core Function for Everyone
Athletes and dancers practice Pilates to develop a strong and flexible core, enhance sports performance, make movements look more elegant, and prevent sports injuries. Core stability is crucial during the rehabilitation of various injuries, making Pilates & Core Function exercises highly suitable. This includes the rehabilitation of (chronic) back and neck issues, knee rehabilitation such as after an ACL reconstruction or patellofemoral pain syndrome, and sports injuries like Achilles tendinopathy, shoulder problems, or shin splints.
Improving Posture
If you want to improve your posture, enhance your sense of movement, learn to relax, and become more flexible and stronger, Pilates & Core Function is for you. After childbirth, these exercises are ideal for regaining core strength, stability, and flexibility. For the elderly, the exercises are beneficial for maintaining strength and flexibility and reducing the risk of falls.
‘Mind-Body’ Training Method
The foundations of Pilates are Centering, Control, Flow, Breath, Precision, and Concentration. By incorporating these aspects into all training sessions and exercises, the training ensures quality. Quality takes precedence over quantity, making the training safe and effective. It is essential to focus on your breathing, concentrate (mindfulness), and perform movements with precision and in a flowing manner. This makes Pilates a ‘mind-body’ training method. The exercises are designed to require a strong core and a lot of control during movements, providing optimal training for your abdominal and back muscles. In combination with the core, the arms and legs are also trained, resulting in functional exercise.
Positive Change
Pilates & Core Function is a safe and innovative training method that involves training the body in various positions. Floor exercises and standing exercises lead to a positive change in how your body looks, feels, and performs. The exercises are always tailored to your level without losing the challenge. By making simple adjustments during the exercises, the training remains enjoyable, challenging, effective, and safe.
